The Hague - Retrofit project

In 2004 BRUSH spoke with E.ON Engineering regarding the upgrade of their power station in The Hague. In 2006, after reviewing various scenarios, they decided to purchase new generators for their gas and steam turbines from BRUSH.
The 102 MW generator is driven from both sides by two gas turbines.
Because the existing steam turbine was being reused, BRUSH got the request from E.ON to deliver the generator exchange Turn-Key. Amongst others, this consisted of:
· Removal of the old, Smit Slikkerveer, 1955 generator
· Removal of the old control and protection panel.
· Modification of the generator foundation.
· Delivery of the new generator.
· Execution of all interfaces between the existing turbine and the new generator, including the complete responsibility.
· Commissioning.
