BRUSH announces a major reduction in service interval frequency for market leading generators

Reduced Service Intervals For BRUSH Generators

In response to market feedback, BRUSH has announced the engineering release of a new shaft driven oil pump gear coupling that significantly extends component service intervals from every 2,000 hours to 45,000 hours, without supplementary lubrication requirements.

The new gear coupling incorporates curved tooth steel hubs and polyamide sleeve. This superior combination of materials allows for maintenance free continuous operation with very low friction on the teeth. Due to the well-known effect of curved tooth gear couplings, any edge pressure in the spline in the case of angular and radial displacements is avoided, thereby minimising wear during operation.

It is recommended the new coupling is replaced at major service intervals, and at least every 5 years.  All new build BRUSH generators will be fitted with the maintenance free gear coupling which is also available for existing users as a retrofit by contacting
