With 400 generators for mobile power plants above 25 MVA resulting in a total of 6 million fleet operational running hours, BRUSH has achieved a world record. BRUSH has provided faster power and higher performance from its strong DAX generator brand product. See more details below:
BRUSH Group today announced a major milestone in power generation – the delivery of the 400th generator for mobile power plants. The milestone was reached in slightly less than 16 years after the first trailer mounted DAX 62-170 generator entered service in 2000.
BRUSH is the market leader for the supply of mobile generators rated above 25MVA; the innovative design was introduced to provide a solution to the rental market sector, seeking to meet the demand for emergency power generation.
Working with the major gas turbine manufacturers and packagers, BRUSH has provided modular solutions for their package designs, taking into consideration the weight, size and operational requirements to fit within standard transport systems for road, rail and air.
The DAX 62-170 type generator has been installed in over 20 countries worldwide, being compliant with all the major international specifications including ANSI, IEC and IEEE, and being able to operate at a variety of voltages at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz to meet varying countries’ requirements.
The product offers real versatility to end users seeking modular blocks of power that can be configured to meet any site specific needs and will operate in the most difficult of environmental conditions.
Phil Pawson, Technical Director Brush Group, said “The DAX brand is valued worldwide for its innovative technology, superior compact design and legendary performance and quality.”
The flexibility of the design has enabled the generator to be used in many global high profile events seeking emergency power generation within days of the demand.
Martyn Vaughan, BRUSH Group CEO said “The 400th delivery of a trailer mounted generator represents yet another high point in the proud history of BRUSH and our iconic DAX brand.”
“In addition to the rental power sector, we are seeing a new market demand in mainstream industrial power supply, where power generation asset managers, are seeking to provide additional power capacity for on and off grid operations at a substantially reduced capital outlay”.
