BRUSH Transformers Supports EDF Energy in New Concept for Tapchanger Service

The issue of the initial proposals for the latest Electricity Distribution Price Control Review (DPCR5) targets the UK Distribution Network Operators (DNO's) in providing "secure and reliable supply at efficient cost" and demands that they do "more to actively manage and monitor levels of risk".
Against this background EDF Energy are the first DNO to formulate an ambitious and comprehensive programme of maintenance of their existing assets. Brush Transformers are delighted to have been invited to assist them in implementing a plan to maintain on-load tapchangers provided by Brush and their former associate companies (ATL, Fullers etc).
This plan will commence in the New Year and work is now proceeding in putting together service kits specific to EDF's initial programme of maintenance. These service kits will be boxed and held at Brush Transformers for issue to the individual substations and then returned and re-replenished on completion of the planned maintenance."
