Having selected this innovative environmentally-friendly form of power system instead of conventional diesel power, the end user requirements necessitated reliable, dependable machines with extensive operating experience in the marine and offshore field to ensure low life cycle costs. With this in mind, BRUSH grasped the challenge to prove that only the DAX range of generators could successfully match the varying demands of the different electric propulsion systems proposed by the shipyards selected to build the vessels.
