BRUSH generator at the heart of the Houston Medical Center.

TMC 3

A BRUSH generator has been selected to provide the  electrical power for the Texas Medical Center CHP facility to be built in Houston. The new CHP plant will generate 45 MW of power and provide steam to the district heating plant, providing heating and cooling services to 18 institutions within the largest medical center in the world.

The BRUSH DAX range 45MW generator will be driven by a GE Energy LM6000 combustion turbine and the package will be assembled and tested at the GE Jacintoport plant in Houston - Texas.

The CHP system will increase electric and thermal efficiency, provide steam to the campus, and improve the overall reliability of the existing plant, enabling continued operations even in the event of a grid outage.
