
CEO and Chairman
Nicolas Pitrat
Nicolas Pitrat joined BRUSH Group as Finance Director in 2019 and was appointed CEO in January 2023.
Nicolas’ career includes positions at Ernst & Young, Johnson Matthey and GE. During his 13 years with GE, he held a number of finance positions, including Finance Integration Manager and Commercial Finance Leader for the Subsea business, based in France, Belgium and the UK. As European Finance Director for the Clean Air division of Johnson Matthey, Nicolas oversaw five manufacturing sites and two R&D centres.
Nicolas offers extensive multinational experience, and holds a degree from ESSEC business school in France.
He is based in the UK and has both French and UK citizenship.

Chief Finance and HR Officer
Stephanie Woodmass
Stephanie joined BRUSH as Group Financial Controller in 2020 and was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer in February 2023.
Prior to joining BRUSH, she held controllership and financial planning/analysis roles within both Baker Hughes and Pfizer. Her early career was spent at Safeway and within business processes at PwC.
CIMA qualified, Stephanie also holds an Accounting & Mathematics degree from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and is based in the UK.

Chief Technology and Commercial Officer
Günter Halfar
Günter Halfar was appointed Chief Technology Officer for BRUSH Group in September 2018.
With extensive experience within research & development as well as organisational and project management, Günter leads the translation and delivery of innovative, integrated solutions across the business. Tasked with delivering engineering excellence, Günter also applies his expertise to drive quality across business process and service applications.
Prior to joining BRUSH, Günter held various senior technology roles within Siemens, 3M and GE, including as Country Technical Director and Senior Innovation Leader.
Günter has a master’s degree in Leading Innovation and Change from York St. John University and holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the University of Johannesburg.

Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer
Lars Hennecke
Joining BRUSH Group in 2021 as a member of the executive team, Lars was appointed into the role of Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer in July 2021.
Focusing on strategic business development and growth, Lars also uses his passion for sustainable innovation to drive forward the business’ sustainability ambitions; helping to further support customers on the road to net zero.
With extensive experience within the power generation, oil & gas, renewable, and energy management industries, Lars has previously held senior roles at GE and Schneider Electric, and more recently supported a variety of businesses through the delivery of independent consultancy services.

Managing Director of Power Solutions
Curtis Hand
Curtis became part of BRUSH Group in September 2022 following the acquisition of KUS Power Engineering, of which Curtis was Managing Director. He was appointed into the role of Managing Director for Power Solutions, part of BRUSH Engineering Solutions in October 2024.
Highly experienced, Curtis is committed to delivering quality outcomes for clients, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement. His previous roles have included Amey and Enterprise Plc where he joined as a Junior Engineer working his way up to becoming the Area Manager for Power Southern.
Curtis holds a degree in Computer Science & Information Engineering from the University of Hull.

Managing Director of Infrastructure Solutions
Chris Thomson
Chris joined BRUSH through the acquisition of Rybka, having been with the company since 2002. Over the course of his career, Chris has consistently demonstrated a strong focus on customer service, innovation, and high-quality service delivery.
Before joining Rybka, Chris began his career in a Scottish engineering consultancy between 1999 and 2002. While early in his professional journey, this role sparked a lasting passion for low-energy and renewable technologies.
Throughout his career, he has championed low-carbon design solutions, believing that with the right collaboration, the industry can accelerate progress toward a more sustainable future.

Portfolio and Quality Director
Rob Mulcare
Rob joined BRUSH Group in July 2023, having previously held roles within project engineering, and commercial leadership, including as Portfolio Director for HARSCO Environmental (Altek Europe Ltd.), and as Head of Project Operations at Penspen Ltd.
Experienced in delivering engineering procurement and construction projects into a wide range of industries, including oil & gas and mining, Rob provides expertise and leadership to the Group’s Portfolio and Quality teams.
Rob holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University.

Director, switchgear
Jason King
Jason is a seasoned operations and quality professional with over 15 years of experience in the automotive and power distribution sectors. His career includes key roles at ZF Lenksysteme and BRUSH Switchgear, where he progressed from Quality Engineer to Director of Switchgear.
Jason has a proven track record in applying lean manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence. He is highly skilled in problem-solving methodologies, continuous improvement, and cross-functional leadership.
Jason is a hands-on leader who combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to deliver measurable results across engineering, quality, and operations.
